Committed (unshipped) stood at 368.5 million lbs. — up 18% from 312.4 million lbs. a year ago.
Sold + Shipped reached 2.79 billion lbs. compared to 2.76 billion lbs. a year ago — up 1.2%
The industry sold position is 89.3% of total supply, versus 87.2% a year ago.
2026 Crop

The crop remains on the early side despite some cool June weather slowing it down slightly. Navel orange worm pressure is increasing as hull split is underway on the early varieties. The harvest timing seems on track to vary widely by region. The industry is still expecting a total crop similar to, or slightly down from, the 2025 crop.
Market Outlook
Pricing remained generally steady and firm as the industry finishes the season on a positive note with strong sales, strong shipments and projecting a tight carry out. Inventory appears low on items from top to bottom, from NP Inshell down to STD5. The tightest area appears to be Nonpareil, as the crop was off about 70 million lbs. from the 2024 crop, and we’re seeing that reflected in the price gap growing between NP and other varieties.
India has continued steadily buying up remaining inshell inventory and seems off to a quicker start with new crop activity. The tighter inshell inventory at origin and destination are setting up the industry for the healthier start to the new crop inshell market.
UAE Shipments are up over last year as bookings in California became available again. Meanwhile shipments to the other Middle East trading hub, Turkey, remained very strong.
New crop (2026) sales are 148 million lbs., compared to 111 million lbs. at this time last year. These are still historically low figures.
The EU released good news recently with tariff relief for tree nuts including almonds.
Sales and shipments will continue to be key to the market, and so far, July is off to a good start. With no objective estimate looming ahead, both sides seem more comfortable to continue participating.
