Today the Almond Board of California released the April 2015 position report. April shipments were 151.1 million lbs. vs. 137.7 million lbs. last season.
NASS released their subjective figure, estimating California’s 2015 almond crop at 1.85 billion lbs.
NASS released the almond acreage report showing: 890,000 bearing acres estimated for the 2015 crop.
Following some ups and downs, kernel prices for California’s 2014 crop almonds in the second week of March where back to where they were during last year’s harvest – around $4 a pound.
